How do I make an appointment?
Contact the office at 847-250-7884. Dr. Amrhein has office hours Monday through Saturday with evening availability.
Do you take insurance?
IN NETWORK: Yes. Dr. Amrhein is currently in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, BCBS Blue Choice PPO, and United Healthcare/ Optum Behavioral Health.
OUT OF NETWORK: Dr. Amrhein also provides services to clients who wish to utilize out of network benefits and/or pay out of pocket. We will provide you with a claim form that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.
What is the cost of a session and what forms of payment do you accept?
Dr. Amrhein’s fees range from $150-200 per session. Payment is accepted in the form of any major credit card, debit card, or HSA/FSA card.
What is your cancellation policy?
Any cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment must be done at least 24-hours prior to your scheduled appointment by calling and leaving a voicemail with Dr. Amrhein at 847-250-7884.
Can you do telehealth sessions with people who live outside of Illinois?
Yes, I am currently able to see clients who reside in both Illinois and Indiana.
Where is your office located?
Currently, Dr. Amrhein offers virtual telehealth services only.
How long can I expect to be in treatment?
Dr. Amrhein takes a very individualized and collaborative approach to treatment and will always work with you toward monitoring your treatment progress and goals. Usually sessions are scheduled weekly, sometimes twice weekly, to meet your goals. Dr. Amrhein is always open to discussing the frequency, duration, and direction of your treatment to make sure you are getting the most out of your time in therapy. Sessions themselves range from 45-60 minutes each.
Do you prescribe medications?
Dr. Amrhein does not prescribe medications and is not a psychiatrist or medical doctor. If it is collaboratively decided that medication may be beneficial to your treatment, Dr. Amrhein will provide referrals to the appropriate medical professionals.
